One person “seriously injured” following multi-vehicle collision in Kilkenny last night

A forensic examination is being carried out at the scene of a multi-vehicle collision in Kilkenny last night.

The three car crash happened at Wallslough, Danville shortly after 10 o clock.

A number of people were taken to hospital following the incident – one of them was reported to be in a serious condition – but we understand he has since improved.

The road remains closed from the Bennettsbridge Road Roundabout in Kilkenny, to Bennettsbridge.

Gardaí expect the road will be closed for some time yet, so motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
