A Carlow Councillor has raised concerns about ongoing littering at a popular bathing site.
Speaking at their monthly council meeting Willie Quinn said visitors to Clashganny have left rubbish scattered around the area in recent weeks, despite the site being one of the county’s most scenic and popular locations.
Councillor Quinn is urging people to take their waste home with them to help protect the amenity and keep the area clean for everyone, telling KCLR News; “We’re all in this together like and we all want to enjoy ourselves and have good fun and all that but it doesn’t take a wise man just to get a small plastic bag, put your rubbish in when you’re leaving and bring it with you, it makes life very simple and let’s keep our county very, very clean like it should be”.
