Opening of new county Carlow pitch named after two much loved boys

Ballinkillen GAA will today host the official opening of its new pitch.

Named ‘Páirc Iomána Eoghan agus Ruairí’ it’s in memory of the two brothers who were aged 10 and five when they were killed by their father in 2013.

Both were avid players who will never be forgotten by those who knew them, many turning out for the regular Teammates Forever Challenge held also in their names.

The community is inviting all to today’s festivities.
