An operator has been found for new recycling facility in South Kilkenny

An operator has been found to run a new recycling facility that’s in the pipe-line for South Kilkenny.

Since the dump at Newrath closed down, locals have had to travel elsewhere to get rid of their recyclable waste.

South Kilkenny Councillor Pat Dunphy says a new site is being looked at now in the Grannagh area and someone to manage the facility has been found.

Speaking to KCLR News, Councillor Dunphy says it’s good news for the area and he thinks it should be up and running soon.
