Organisers of this years Christmas shoebox appeal in Carlow are looking for your basic supplies.

They’re trying to beat last year’s target of 3,000 boxes for the ‘Team Hope’ appeal.

Volunteers are at the Farmers Market in Carlow today, where they will collect boxes from the public.

They’re also handing out wrapped boxes for you to fill.

Wendy Jacob is the lead organiser in Carlow, she told KCLR news that they’re looking for toothpaste, stationary and soap.
