The latest research into radio listening has been released.
The Joint National Listenership Research survey which came out today, covers what Ireland has listened to over the 12 months to the end of September. Its based on a nationwide survey of around 16,000 people.
It shows that nationally, radio listenership overall continues to grow, with a massive 3.4 million tuning into radio across a range of devices every weekday a growth of 71000 people.
Locally, every week across Carlow and Kilkenny 47% of the population or around 65,000 people tune to KCLR making it the most popular station in the area.
KCLR CEO John Purcell says the latest figures are great news for the station.
“Over the last 12 months, we’ve introduced huge changes to the KCLR line up and schedule and the evidence of the research is that people are loving what they’re hearing. The survey is really great news”.
