Parking remains a challenge for patients and visitors at both St. Luke’s General Hospital for Carlow and Kilkenny and University Hospital Waterford.
The HSE says options to increase parking capacity at both sites are still under consideration.
At St. Luke’s temporary off-site parking is being provided for staff to help keep the main car park available for patients and visitors.
While at University Hospital Waterford motorists are being reminded to park only in designated spaces, with warning stickers continuing to be placed on vehicles parked in non-designated areas across the hospital campus.
Earlier this year we reported how close to half a million euro was spent on parking at St Luke’s alone.
