There’s been a welcome development in the plans to bring Aldi to Graignamanagh.
It was confirmed last Wednesday that planning permission has been granted for the new store in Co. Kilkenny.
The German discount retailer has vowed to hire 400 new staff in Ireland over the next three years.
20 new stores are to be built nationwide this year – including the one in Graignamanagh.
It’s part of the company’s €100 million expansion in this country.
Graignamanagh Councillor, Peter Chap Cleere, has welcomed this latest development saying “it’s a great boost for the area”.
