48 new homes could be on the way to the Carlow town outskirts.
Byrne and Byrne Limited has lodged a planning application with the county council for the development for a 2.7hectare site at Mortarstown.

It would comprise 43 three bed dwellings with two four-beds and three two-beds as well as a childcare facility.
Car parking, play areas, landscaping, and all associated site works would include construction access from the partially complete Carlow Inner Relief Road.
