Extra care is still needed in parts of Carlow and Kilkenny following yesterday’s rainfall.
A weather warning in place in both counties, ended at 5pm but the impact is still being felt locally today.
There had been issues on Kilkenny Road in Carlow and also between Kilmanagh and Callan on the R695, close to St Molua’s Church.
While KCAT in Callan has closed for the day due to the Abhainn Rí’s flooding – while the building itself is fine, the water’s extended into the Abbey Meadow and carpark.
