Portuguese artists to finish off magnificent mural in Ferrybank later today

A striking new public artwork celebrating Ferrybank’s railway and community heritage will be completed later today.

Visual artist Mariana Duarte Santos has spent recent weeks creating the 150-metre mural, made up of 29 individual panels.

The artwork has transformed a busy commuter route for pedestrians and cyclists, with the Portuguese artist now set to travel home for her next project before moving onto Georgia.
