A man has died following a single vehicle collision earlier in Kilkenny this morning.
The crash happened on the R448 at Smithstown near Mullinavat- The man in his 70’s was the driver of the car.

The road was closed for a time for a technical examination to be carried out and the local coronorer has been notifed.
The man was taken to University Hospital Waterford where a postmortem will be carried out.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses or road users who may have dash cam footage to contact them on 051-305300.
