Pregnant woman says she’s been on corridor in St Luke’s Hospital overnight

A pregnant woman waiting to have her baby has been on the corridor at St Luke’s Hospital since last night.

The lady contacted KCLR this morning sending a picture of her view as she continues to wait for a bed in the maternity unit.

It’s understood she is due to have a c-section but can’t yet as they have ‘nowhere to put her afterwards’.

The hospital has yet to comment on this latest incident but in a recent statement to KCLR said it regrets any inconvenience caused as necessary works in the maternity unit are undertaken.
