Profits at the Kilkenny-based animation studio ‘Cartoon Saloon’ have doubled in the last year.
That’s according to today’s Irish Independent – who are reporting that the local company made in excess of €200,000.
Last year they shot to fame after receiving an Oscar nomination for their short film ‘Song of the Sea’.
Cartoon Saloon was established in 1999 and today employs around 70 people.
Production has now started on their next film ‘The breadwinner’ with Angela Jolie at the helm as Executive Producer.
