Psychologist Fergus Heffernan to give talk in Kilkenny this evening

Teaching children emotional resilience will be taking centre stage at a talk in Kilkenny this evening.

Psychologist, Dr Fergus Heffernan, is giving the presentation entitled ‘The Blue Zone, the Key to Resilience’ from 8 o’clock in St Fiacre’s Church, Loughboy.

Fr Dan Carroll is one of the organisers, and he told KCLR News that the money charged on the door will also be going towards helping children.

It’ll be going to the Carlow/Kilkenny group of the Irish Pilgrimage Trust which will be taking 10 local children with special needs to Lourdes this year.

The entire trip will cost in the region of €14,500.
