You’re being invited along to a public meeting in Carlow tonight which aims to set up a COPD support group.
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease is a lung illness which appears to be particularly prevalent in Carlow – the figures between 2013 and 2015 show Carlow had the fourth highest rate in the country.
Dr Brian Fitzgibbon is a Respiratory Physiotherapist in St Luke’s Hospital.
He says they’ll also be looking to set up a COPD support group in Kilkenny in the coming months.
The meeting takes place in the Talbot Hotel from 8.30pm.
