The main road between Kilkenny and New Ross has re-opened.
The it was closed down for a couple of hours this afternoon after what was described as a massive tree by one KCLR listener, came down between Inistoige and Clodiagh Church.

The tree was completely blocking the way and diversions had to be put in place while it was cleared away.
Gardai in Thomastown say the road should be reopening by 5pm.
