Extra care’s being urged for motorists on a north Kilkenny road where deer have been causing safety concerns.
The stretch at Kilrush, about two miles on the Urlingford side of Freshford, has seen the animals appear suddenly on the route, at times hitting vehicles – three times in the last month alone resulting in major damage as well as a deer having to be put down.
The county council had previously erected signage but is now focusing on other measures as Chair of the local authority, Cllr Michael McCarthy outlines;
