‘Rangers back to winning ways in Carlow hurling championship

In the J.J. Kavanagh & Sons senior hurling championship Ballinkillen held sway for fourty minutes with County and Leinster champions Mt. Leinster Rngs.

Level ten minutes in to the last period Ballinkillen 0-9 Mt. Leinster Rngs 1-6, in a matter of fifteen seconds Rngs had moved four points clear after a long delivery from Richard Coady was finished to the Ballinkillen net.

 

Eoin Doyle shot over a point and turning in to the last quarter the same player cracked home Rngs third goal as they went in to overdrive.

 

Daryl Roberts scored Ballinkillen’s goal in the dying seconds. Rngs scored 2-9 in the last period

 

Final score Mt. Leinster Rngs 3-13 Ballinkillen 1-10

 

In the curtain raiser Naomh Brid had to survive anxious moments before they defeated St. Patricks Tullow by three points in an excellent junior hurling championship semi-final it finished

Naomh Brid 2-14 St. Patricks 1-14.

Naomh Brid will now meet Erins Own in the final.
