Rathvilly are waking up this morning Carlow senior football champions.
They edged Old Leighlin in Sunday’s county final by 2-9 to 1-10.
Despite three goals in three first half minutes the sides were level at the break at 2-3 to 1-6
However a brace of scores just after the short whistle gave Rathvilly an advanatge they never relinquished and they secured the Conlon cup fo the first time in 5 years
Winning manager John Smith was asked afterwards what was said at half time to inspire their success
