Santa is the special guest in Kilkenny today as Yulefest takes hold.
The main in red arrives by boat on the River Nore to Canal Square at 2pm approx and will be led through the city streets, likely swarmed by a host of his fans.

He’s due to finish up at Kilkenny Castle and will later help to turn on the festive tree lights at The Parade with County Council Cathaoirleach Cllr Michael McCarthy, Mayor Cllr Andrew McGuinness and Ireland’s Junior Eurovision star Enya Cox from Castlecomer.
