The searches of lands in Co Wicklow by those investigating the disappearance and murder of Jo Jo Dullard have ended.
The 21-year-old Kilkenny woman was trying to make her way home on the night of the 9th November 1995 when she went missing, her last confirmed location being a phone box in Moone, Co Kildare.
Her case was upgraded to one of murder in 2020.
On the 11th of November this year, just days after the 29th anniversary of that last sighting, Gardaí searched two homes about ten miles away and arrested a man who was subsequently released without charge.
The search of lands in the area got underway but have now concluded.
Gardaí say they have updated Jo Jo’s family on the investigation’s current position, they’ll not be commenting further on the searches for operational reasons but recent garda activity has been of assistance to the investigation team.
They continue to appeal to anyone who might have information to come forward – you can contact Naas Garda Station on 045 884 300 or any Garda station, or anyone who wishes to provide information confidentially should contact the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
It’s as later today families of missing people across the entire island of Ireland will gather to remember their loved ones at the 12th annual ‘Missing Persons Day’ at Croke Park.
