Shock and disgust expressed at destruction of Pride flag in Ballon, Co Carlow

Shock and disgust has been expressed locally over the destruction of a Pride flag.
Many businesses and homes have been flying the colours of the rainbow in a bid to mark the concentrated month of support for those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender.
Staff at Cafe de Mode in Ballon turned up for work on Sunday morning to discover their flag had been taken down and burned.
A cafe representative, as well as some from the LGBT+ community, have been condemning the action and pointing out how vital it is for those struggling with their sexuality to know that support is there from their peers and those in their own areas.
