Shock in Carlow on death of locally based motorcyclist

There’s shock on the death of a locally based motorcyclist following a collision with a car on Dublin’s M50 yesterday.

It happened just before 1pm on a southbound stretch of the motorway near the Lucan/Palmerstown exit shortly before 1pm.

An examination of the scene has been carried out and Gardaí­ are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, and any road users with camera footage, to come forward.

The man aged in his fifties was pronounced dead at the scene – he’s been named locally as Christian Rasmussen, also known as Danish Paddy 1% who was originally from Denmark and has been living in Carlow for many years.
