There’s shock in Kilkenny after the man whose body was found in a campervan over the weekend has been named locally.
Gerry Kennedy from Tikerlevan, Graignamanagh, is understood to have been socialising in Thomastown on Saturday and decided to stay in his vehicle that night as the Irish Times reports.
Gardaí have confirmed to KCLR that they and other emergency services personnel responded to an incident in Thomastown at about 12noon on Sunday (5th Jan) where a man aged in his forties was discovered deceased in a campervan.
His body was removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford and a file will be prepared for the Coroner.
