Six cars targeted by thieves in two county Kilkenny areas in one night alone

Gardaí are warning people to be vigilant after a spate of thefts from cars across Kilkenny.

Five in Callan’s Mill Street and Friday Walk as well as another in Ballyragget were targeted in one evening alone this week with cash, phones and laptops among the items taken.

Garda Robert Rasmussen has this advice; “With the evenings getting darker now we always remind people to lock their cars, even if they’re going into the house, we understand people are going to work and they may have children to look after but always lock your car especially when you’re going in overnight just make sure, it takes a couple of seconds, make sure your car is locked and that your keys are nowhere near the door”.
