“Slow down and take extreme care on the roads”

That’s the message from local Gardaí this morning to road users across Carlow and Kilkenny.

A blanket of dense fog is covering much of the two counties this morning, with road conditions impacted.

According to Met Eireann, the fog will take some time to lift today – and as a result, road users are being urged to be extra vigilant.

Local Garda Andy Neill says you should turn on your front and rear lights, slow down and be extremely vigilant of your surroundings.
