There’s some positive news for locals who are struggling with debt.
A change in the law increasing the threshold for a debt relief notice from 20 thousand to 35 thousand euro has been announced this week.
It mean more people will be able to avoid court hearings and may be eligible to have their debt written-off.
Michael Saunders of Kilkenny MABs told KCLR it will come as a relief to many people.
