St Luke’s Hospital trolley free for fourth weekday in a row

Over 300 people are on hospital trolleys according to nurses.

The latest trolley watch report from the Irish Nurses and Midwives shows 331 people are waiting for a bed in Emergency Departments and overflow areas of wards.

University Hospital Limerick is said to be the most overcrowded with 36 patients recorded on trolleys.

Meanwhile, St Luke’s Hospital for Carlow/Kilkenny is trolley-free for the 4th weekday in a row now.

Tuesday of last week is the last time that the INMO figures recorded anyone waiting for a bed in the local ED.
