Students from Carlow and Kilkenny are waiting in anticipation for their results today

Almost 2,000 students in Carlow and Kilkenny will receive their Leaving Cert results today.

They’re among 61,000 students nationwide who sat the state exams. From 10am this morning students will be able to access their results online.

The CEO of a mental health charity has advised students receiving their results today to be mindful of others, and to remember that the exam results do not define them.

Speaking to KCLR News, Fiona O’Malley, CEO of Turn2me, noted that many students across the country will feel anxious today, as they await the first round of CAO offers next week.
