Taoiseach needs to make decision on leadership question within next week, says Pat Deering

Fine Gael Deputy Pat Deering wants Enda Kenny to reassess his position – and soon.

The local TD told KCLR Live this morning that the Taoiseach needs to say within the next week what his plans are.

There’s been renewed pressure on Enda Kenny to step down as leader of Fine Gael in light of the McCabe controversy.

Deputy Deering says he thinks a new leader needs to be in place reasonably soon.
