Team Denmark’s Alma Rasmussen wins first stage of Rás na mBan in Kilkenny

Team Denmark’s Alma Rasmussen was first home in Rás na mBan’s Stage One in Kilkenny last evening.

The 22-team peloton spanning 14 nations rolled out from Kilkenny city towards Freshford yesterday with Irish rider Aoife O’Brien coming in second, ahead of Cycling Ulster’s Erin Creighton.

Today, the action moves to county Wexford for a 97km route that starts and finishes in Gorey:
