The 39th annual Wellie Race gets underway in Castlecomer today.

The fun kicks off at 11am in the town and includes the usual float parade and the race itself at 3pm.

Veteran sports broadcaster Michael Lyster is this year’s special personality.

Thousands of euro is raised each year for their chosen charities.
