The chairman of Local Community Safety Partnership says communication is key to keep public informed about many topics

Community safety and awareness were the focus of the “Safer Together” event in Kilkenny last night.

Organisers say there was strong engagement from the public, particularly older people seeking advice on home security, personal safety and online protection.

Chair of the Local Community Safety Partnership, Pat Fitzpatrick, also highlighted the importance of road safety and visibility campaigns, while concerns were raised about the growing dangers facing young people online.
