The first event in Carlow to mark the 1916 centenary takes place in Ballinabranna this afternoon.
Nurse Kehoe will be remembered at 3 o clock today, with the laying of a wreath on her grave.
There will also be a reading of the Proclamation and the Church band pipe band will be in attendance.
This is the first of four events planned by the committee in Carlow for the month of March.
