Concerns have been expressed regarding the proposed Housing and Residential Tenancies Bill leading to representatives of a number of charities calling on the Housing Minister to press pause on its delivery.
Dublin Simon, Depaul, Crosscare and the Peter McVerry Trust are among those warning the legislation is being rushed through the Oireachtas without adequate scrutiny – they fear it could make it harder for some vulnerable people to access housing supports and emergency accommodation.
