Just one point has kept Clonegal in Carlow from retaining their title of Ireland’s Tidiest Village.
At today’s awards ceremony, Birdhill in Tipperary claimed that crown with a total of 327 points, while Clonegal had 326.
Meanwhile, Skerries took home the overall top award of Tidiest Town 2016 a 327 points.
Kilkenny, who’ve won that title twice before, were just two points behind at 325.
