From today until the 10th of April, Patrick Street in Kilkenny City will be a one-way road from Mondays to Fridays.
That’s from its junction with the Parade to its junction with Ormonde Road.
Traffic will be flowing from Patrick Street towards the Parade – meaning there’ll be no access up the opposite direction from the Parade.
This is to facilitate the undergrounding of ESB networks and public lighting.
However, it will become a two-way road again at weekends – from 5 o’clock on Friday evenings to 7am on Monday mornings.
Meanwhile, this evening John Street will be completely closed to traffic from about a quarter past 6 until 2 in the morning.
Rose Inn Street will also be out of bounds of vehicles from 9pm until 2am.
And elsewhere, there’s a stop and go system on the N76 Callan Bypass until 6 o’clock this evening while road repairs are being carried out.
