Transport Minister finally visits South Kilkenny as promised

Transport Minister Shane Ross was in South Kilkenny yesterday.

The Minister took a drive along the Piltown/Fiddown bypass to witness first hand the issues raised in terms of safety for motorists.

Locals who are calling for a flyover to be constructed at the Tower Junction voiced their concerns to him yesterday.

Councillor Pat Dunphy says the Minister didn’t give any commitments but did ask for a lot of information and did promise to engage with Transport Infrastructure Ireland (formerly NRA).
