Travel agents from Australian and New Zealand have been exploring Kilkenny in a bid to encourage people from their part of the world to visit.
Six have been in the locality as guests of Tourism Ireland, Fáilte Ireland and Emirates.
They’ve been experiencing everything from the scenery to the hospitality that awaits holidaymakers.
Their itinerary included Cushendale Woollen Mills, Jerpoint Glass Studio, Kilkenny Castle and Smithwick’s Experience Kilkenny.
Sofia Hansson, Tourism Ireland’s Manager for Australia and New Zealand, said; “Tourism Ireland was delighted to invite this group of Australian and New Zealand travel agents to visit Ireland, to experience first-hand some of our superb tourism offering. Seeing is believing – our aim is that when they return home, they will be even more enthusiastic about the destination, helping to secure a greater share of their business for Ireland.”
