Two men arrested in connection with murder of Kilkenny man Gerry Nolan

Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of Gerry Nolan in Castlecomer in 2006.
The local man – who was 44 at the time- died as a result of a fire in his mobile home at the back of a house in Deerpark.
Two Kilkenny men have been arrested this morning in Dublin in connection with the murder which took place on the 24th of July in 2006.
They will be detained and questioned for a period of time.
GardaĆ at the time determined that Gerry died as a result of the fire however after new information emerged last year; the investigation was upgraded to murder.
Mr Nolan was described as a well-liked and quiet person.
Kilkenny Gardai is again appealing to anyone in the Castlecomer area with information to contact them confidentially at Kilkenny, Castlecomer or any Garda station.
