Two men arrested in Thomastown after a jeep was driven erratically through town

Two men were arrested in Thomastown yesterday evening on suspicion of stealing a jeep.

The black Toyota jeep was taken from the forecourt of Dunphys Centra in the town and driven erratically through the town aswell as in the wrong direction up a one way street.

The vehicle was then crashed and the suspects attempted to flee on foot but locals had alerted Gardaí to the activity and they managed to catch up with them.

They’re being detained there for questioning today.
