Two people due in court following seizures of €280,000 worth of cocaine in county Tipperary

Two people are due in court today in connection with the seizure of €280,000 worth of Cocaine in County Tipperary.

Four kilograms of the suspected drug was discovered on Tuesday (19th May, 2026) in the Nenagh area and will now undergo analysis.

A man and a woman, both aged in their twenties, were arrested and detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 in a Garda Station in the Clare/Tipperary Division.

They’ve since been charged and are due to appear before Nenagh District Court this morning (Thursday, 21st May).

Investigations are ongoing.
