Two priests from Ghana set to serve in Kilkenny city parishes

Two priests from the Diocese of Damongo in Ghana are to minister in the Diocese of Ossory.

The St Patrick’s, Kilkenny city Newsletter announced the addition of Fr Felix and Fr Paul to the locality from early next month.

One will be based in that Parish, the other serving in nearby St John’s.

Bishop of Ossory Dr. Niall Coll told KCLR News’ Michael Bergin that the appointments were the result of a desire to increase diversity in the Church, as well as due to a crisis in vocations;
