Update issued on notorious stretch of road in County Carlow

It looks like plans are to proceed to upgrade a notorious stretch of road in Carlow.

The Leagh Bends on the N80 have been the scene of a number of serious incidents and the county council had sought approval from An Coimisiún Pleanála to realign the route and to compulsory purchase lands to allow the redevelopment.
