Walter Walsh is the latest Kilkenny Hurler to pay tribute to Jackie Tyrrell, after he announced his retirement yesterday.
The 34-year-old issued a statement to KCLR sport yesterday morning saying he was stepping down from inter-county hurling.
Fellow all-star and team mate Walter Walsh has told KCLR today that it was an honour to play on the pitch alongside Jackie.
But he says marking him on the field wasn’t always an easy task, and it’s something he won’t miss.
