Waterford to Dublin train delayed in Kilkenny as two passengers arrested this afternoon

Passengers on the Waterford to Dublin train had to endure a 22 minute delay in Kilkenny this afternoon as two passengers were arrested.

Kilkenny Gardaí were alerted to a disturbance on the train which pulled into MacDonagh Junction at 3.25pm.

Two people – a man and a woman who were drunk – were removed from the train and arrested for public order offences.

The train eventually left the station shortly after 3.45pm.
