There has been a broad welcome in Kilkenny and Tipperary to the appointment of Brian Gavin as the referee for the All Ireland replay.
The Offaly man was in charge for last years drawn final between Cork and Clare and was also in the middle when Kilkenny beat Tipperary in 2011
