A local butchers will close its doors for the last time in Kilkenny City today.
Paddy White of Whites Butchers on the Parade is retiring after 44 years of trading in the city. He took the business over from his father in the seventies.

Local councillor Malcolm Noonan was a regular customer and visited the shop for the last time earlier this week.
He told KCLR that he’ll miss Paddy and the service he provided.
