If you were in the Station Road area of Thomastown on Saturday night Gardaí want to hear from you.
A young woman was walking on the stretch when at least three men in a Volkswagen UP drove passed her, slammed on the brakes and reversed.
The car’s occupants then began shouting at her and she fled to seek help.
Cllr Deirdre Cullen yesterday spoke to The KCLR Daily about what happened – listen back to that here.
Sgt PJ Griffin today has told KCLR News; “I’d just like to put out an appeal for any motorists, pedestrians or anyone maybe with dashcam footage that was on Station Road last Saturday night in or around 10:15pm close to the junction of the train station there, did they see anything?”.
He adds “We are trying to identify the occupants of a small hatchback car in relation to a suspicious approach to a female”.
